Recently I attended the Mastering the Hiring Process seminar. Judy who was one the Keynote speaker did a wonderful job and was so informative on the ins and outs of the process. Added bonuses were workshops that were incorporated into the seminar that gave us hands on guidance! As always Leigh was an amazing seminar leader!

It was a great workshop and I learned a lot of useful things to bring back to our office. One thing it forced me to do was to look at our team and find the common personality type throughout our office so I can know what personality type I need to be recruiting. I haven’t gotten to use the skills I learned yet, but I know they will be useful! It was awesome that you guys brought in actors that we got to interview and see if our interviewing questions were effective enough to find out all of their hidden secrets.
Our office has always been an office that has used objective information to pick our employees and we have never looked at the subjective material. Now looking back on the people that haven’t worked out in our office, I see that their personality was a conflict with our office from the start and if we had looked at that initially, we would have never hired them! As you stated, they faked who they were in the interview and I didn’t pick up on it. In the future, I will definitely be able to pick up on that and hopefully it will decrease the turnover in our office.
