Does Your Practice Need a Checkup?
March 11th, 2015
How does your personality shape your management style? Are you the “take charge” person who likes competition and doesn’t shy away from confronting challenges? Do you communicate directly and forcefully with those you work with? Or do you take a more “laid back” approach, avoiding conflict as much as possible? Are you detail-oriented, placing a high priority on accuracy, or do you focus on the big picture, leaving details to other?
On the flip side, what personality types can you identify among your staff members? Are you working with someone who needs recognition and approval and doesn’t take criticism well? Do you have some staff members who work effectively in a group and some who don’t “play well with others?” Have you lost a valued member of your staff without even knowing why she left?
You can’t begin to understand others if you don’t understand yourself. Your personality style affects how you approach your job as a manager, business owner, and team member and your success as a manager depends on how well you work with the personalities on your staff. This workshop will give you a look into your own personality traits and management style. It will also help you identify specific traits in others and use that information to build a high performance team.
In preparation for the workshop, each attendee will take a “PROSCAN” personality assessment designed by Professional Dynametric Programs (“PDP”). We will then apply that information during the workshop to examine techniques and strategies to help you work more effectively with team members, patients, and other professionals in your office.
PDP is a worldwide leader in top of the line behavioral assessment solutions. It assesses the dynamics of an individual, measuring behavioral traits, decision-making styles, energy levels, and reactions to stressors. The PDP system has been used by many major businesses and organizations around the world, including the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Olympic team, to help those organizations build and manage effective teams.
Discover, explore and benefit from learning just what makes you and those around you tick. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding what it takes to get the most out of your staff – and yourself.
