Like most employers, you probably have been confronted with difficult conflict situations:

  • A staff member will not cooperate with others, and seems to thrive on stirring up office conflict;
  • A manager’s abrasive personality has made it difficult for her to gain cooperation from the rest of the staff and her “my way or the highway” approach has caused you to lose some good employees;
  • A staff member refuses to comply with your policies and established procedures, and her behind-the-scenes attempts to undermine your authority is creating staff conflict;
  • Your best employee has ended her relationship with a co employee, and the entire office is consumed with the “drama.”

This list goes on…

Every unresolved conflict is a drain on your time and energy, and reduces productivity.  Some conflicts, particularly when not promptly addressed, can even result in legal liability.

No two conflict situations are the same.  Each employee is motivated in different ways and responds differently to conflict resolution techniques.  Through analysis of your unique office culture and the general and specific conflict situations, we develop strategies to resolve both immediate and long-term conflict situations.

We use a unique multi-step approach to resolve specific conflict situations, to work with your staff to develop techniques to avoid or minimize future conflicts.

  • We conduct interviews to understand the office dynamics and the specific issues causing conflict;
  • We review applicable policies and procedures, and analyze the office culture;
  • We use the Professional Dynametric Program (PDP) to develop an overall approach to resolve conflict issues;
  • Leigh and Steve use the results of the PDP ProScans and outcome of discussions and interviews to facilitate the creation of Team Agreements, and to develop effective ways of communication;
  • Judy applies her 30+ years of experience in the field of employment law to guide employers through situations that may involve “legal landmines.”
